Working in Marketing

Our customer champions, the Marketing team are focused on attracting new customers into our stores and to our website via every channel. They are very much one team, collaborating on and co-ordinating campaigns from planning through implementation and analysis, ensuring our messages are communicated consistently across a wide range of formats and channels to deliver an engaging customer experience.

They begin by getting to know about pets, our customers, their needs and staying up-to-date on trends - building a connection with customers to make sure ours is a brand they know, love and trust.

The team is diverse and covers everything from national advertising to in-store events, national digital campaigns to focused local marketing, utilising their own studio to create engaging photographic and video content.

They all benefit from individual and group learning and development opportunities, gaining CIM, MBA or MSc qualifications, or being supported to develop specific skills to help them develop in their roles, such as digital marketing training, copywriting skills or Google Analytics accreditation. Frequent ‘In a Nutshell’ sessions, often featuring invited agencies, also help to develop new knowledge and skills.
